P2914 Nissan Auto Trouble Code
P2914 Nissan OBD2 reports a sensor fault, replacement of the sensor is unlikely to resolve the underlying problem. The fault is most likely to be caused by the systems that the sensor is monitoring, but might even be caused by the wiring to the sensor itself.
Remove the air filter box assembly so you can access the transmission range switch. Turn the key to the ON position, but do not start the vehicle. Move the shifter to the neutral position. Align the alignment holes between the switch and the shift lever. Insert a 5mm drill bit into the adjustment hole to verify the proper alignment for the neutral position.
P2914 Nissan Possible Solution:
In-line Ford engines, along with those of most other manufacturers, begin the numbering of cylinders at the front and proceed in numerical order toward the back. In the V-engine design, Ford follows a similar design with the number one cylinder at the front left of the engine. In the V-6 configuration, cylinder 4 is at the front right of the engine and in a V-8, cylinder number 5 is in that location. Other manufacturers sometimes use an alternating pattern in the V-engines.

P2914 Nissan Trouble Repair :
If your P2914 Nissan check engine light is illuminated, it's best to take it in for diagnostic testing, which can feel like a hassle. Because while the lights vary in appearance from vehicle to vehicle, all have the same basic meaning: There's a problem with the car's emissions system. The on-board diagnostics system and engine control unit are in charge of monitoring a bunch of different, and if they get a reading that's a little out of whack, up pops the check engine light.
